Overview

Scott began his career in mortgage lending as a traditional mortgage broker, spending his first 16 years originating conventional home loans and closing hundreds of transactions.

Later, he spent six years as a bridge loan broker for one of the nation’s leading real estate education companies, building a team that funded approximately 1,000 fix-and-flip and rental property loans. It was during this period that USA Private Money was created.

When the 2020 shutdowns hit, the business was forced to pivot. Rather than rebuilding a large staff and office infrastructure, Scott decided to redesign USA Private Money as a boutique lifestyle lending business.

After years of dealing with the unpredictable nature of renovations and contractors, Scott adopted a much simpler strategy:

Only lend on properties with significant equity — typically around 50% LTV — and avoid renovation dependencies.

Our priorities are simple: First, the return of capital. Second, the return on capital.
